About us
The Secondary Vocational School of Agriculture and Rural Services in Levice is one of the oldest schools of its kind in Slovakia. It was founded in the 19th century in Košice, where it initially operated as the Higher Agricultural School. In 1948, the school relocated to Levice. Profiled for educating experts in the fields of agriculture and agribusiness, our school has become an indispensable part of vocational education in the Nitra Region.
Since 2013, the school has operated as a Center of Vocational Education and Training for Agribusiness and Rural Development. This status commits us to establishing top-tier material and technical conditions, ensuring our graduates possess not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on skills for new technological procedures, making them highly employable in practice. The school is equipped with modern agricultural machinery and fully established workshops. We also feature an orchard, a greenhouse, and a garden where students gain experience in growing fruit and vegetables, along with a small-scale facility for processing the harvested products. Senior students complete their vocational practice and training directly within production enterprises.
Through various projects, our students get to explore EU countries, learning about their conditions, standards of economy, and agricultural education. In cooperation with partner schools abroad, students have the opportunity to participate in student exchanges and internships.
We are a proud member of the Regional Chamber of Agriculture and Food, as well as the Climate Alliance. We closely cooperate with the Slovak Union of Small Animal Breeders, the Regional Association of Land Owners and Agribusinesses of Slovakia, and the Union of Ecological Agriculture.
The school operates its own driving school, allowing students to obtain driving licenses for categories B and T during their studies. Furthermore, students can take specialized courses, including: hunting, brushcutter operation, combine harvester operation, and self-propelled forage harvester operation.
